My professional passion is all about "construction management" and "project management". It is based on my professional career, which has included the following stations:

  • DYWIDAG International GmbH
  • BAUER special foundation works GmbH
  • Codema International GmbH

These are all larger German construction or consulting companies.

During this career, I have managed large-scale projects in Germany and abroad, where I have worked as a construction manager, project manager, tender engineer, cost estimator, work planner or project controller. I was involved in executing large-scale projects over a sum of Eur 200 million and in planning (tendering) large-scale projects over a sum of Eur 2 billion. As a site manager, I was personally responsible for more than 250 employees from all over the world (Indonesia, Philippines, Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Lebanon).

My experience in international projects was the reason why I started 2009 a PhD-thesis at the Institute of Construction Management at the University of the German Federal Armed Forces Munich about the topic of "Project management of large-scale projects in the pre-contract phase". From February 2017 to October 2021, I taught as a full professor at a University of Applied Sciences the subject "Construction Management" and have always achieved best evaluation results in teaching.

What is on my mind at the moment!

My voluntary activities in Ukraine

I wish to say "many thanks" to the "Jakob Wilhelm Mengler Foundation", which supports my teaching activities at the Lviv Polytechnic National University (LPNU) with 1.500,- Euro. This makes it possible to teach at the LPNU by face-to-face lectures (depending on the current situation of war, safety and energy supply in Lviv).

I have put this photo from Kyiv on my homepage to remind everyone (in Germany) of the war and the consequences if this war ends without Ukraine regaining its full integrity. If you think outside the box, you will realize that there is some truth in this photo.

Searching for a new job in the "Renewable Energy" sector

The search for a new challenging job in a senior management position on large-scale projects abroad. Preferable in the field of "renewable energy" like hydropower or offshore wind energy. These projects are very challenging!

Climate change

It is important to adress the problem of climate change, because the climate change is real and we need to change the way we use "Planet Earth". It is important to change our behaviour, but please without any destructive protests!
